Technology Park Victim Remains a Mystery
Gwinnett Police said he body of the man found Monday in Technology Park in Peachtree Corners has not been identified.
The body of the man found in Technology Park early Monday morning has yet to be identified.
Cpl. Edwin Ritter, spokesman for Gwinnett County Police, said an autotopsy was performed on the body, and police are waiting for the results.
Early Monday morning police were called to 25 Technology Parkway South in Peachtree Corners where the body of a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds, was found.
The man sustained several wounds to the head, and the homicide unit was called in to investigate. Tuesday, an autopsy was perfomed and the medical examiner said the man likely did not die from his wounds.
"There is no real trama on his body," said Ritter. "It's most likely an overdose."
Ritter said the medical examiner found no fatal injuries, just cuts and bruises to his arms and legs. The man's body was also muddy indicating he may have been in the lake behind the office building before he died.
"We still have not identified the body," said Ritter. "We're waiting on the results of the toxicology report, but it doesn't look like a homicide."
Ritter said the police are waiting for the cause of death before ruling out the man had been killed.
