Is Your Child's Trick or Treat Route Safe?
Check out the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Sex Offenders Registry before letting your children trick or treat in your neighborhood.
While many parents have provided alternatives for their children to dress up in costumes and solicit candy treats, some still allow neighborhood trick or treating.
Are there sex offenders who live in your neighborhood? Is your child’s trick or treat route safe? Check out the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Sex Offenders Registry beforehand. There are various search options.
A specific search of the website indicates there are nearly 30 unincarcerated sexual offenders with Duluth addresses. Here’s the direct link for unincarcerated Duluth male and female sex offenders.

Sex offenders have the lowest recidivism rate of all criminals except murderers, according to dozens of university, federal and state studies. Not all sex offenders have victimized children, and over 1/3 of sex crimes perpetrated against children are committed by other children. 95% of kids are abused by family or friends who aren't on the registry. Lastly, sex offenders have children and family who are harmed by irresponsible reporting such as this. Next time do 5 minutes of research instead of copying everyone else.

Despite what you say, I wouldn't want my child knocking on the door of someone on this list.

This is irresponsible fear mongering. Stop it. It helps nobody and keeps harassing people who pose no danger at all to the community and who have paid for their crimes.
