Body Found in Little Mulberry Park Identified

No foul play suspected.

The body found in Little Mulberry Park on June 26 has been identified as that of 29-year-old Aaron R. Bregenzer according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Bregenzer’s body was found around 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening by a man who was hiking in the park with his son. The pair were on a trail within the park when the man spotted a badly decomposed body.

"This case is a suspected suicide, however, this will not be confirmed until toxicology results return," said GCPD public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith in a released statement.  "There is no evidence of foul play in this case."

The body was the second discovered over the weekend in Dacula. Saturday evening, a set of skeletal remains were found in a wooded area adjacent to a small field in the 1700 block of Harbins Road.

That investigation is ongoing.

I have a hard time believing this could be suicide. I hope there is an ongoing investigation. My thoughts go out to the Bregenzer family.
