Barnes & Noble on Pleasant Hill Road Closing
Popular book store, which has been in this location for 15 years, will close its doors June 30.
The Barnes & Noble on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth is closing June 30 after 15 years at this location.
June 30 is still the target closing date, a bookseller confirmed. Some books in selected categories and other items are on sale for 50 percent off. Most of the rest are available for sale at regular price. Remaining books will be shipped to other stores when the Duluth location at 2205 Pleasant Hill Road in the Pleasant Hill Shopping Center closes. The Duluth store is closing because the rent was going up, the spokesman said.
There are three newer Barnes & Noble stores nearby at The Forum in Peachtree Corners, The Avenue at Webb Gin in Snellville and the Mall of Georgia in Buford.

Because the rent is going up? Really?

I can't believe this! The BN at The Forum doesn't have nearly as great an atmosphere as the Duluth branch. I'm sad it was closed.

This store went down hill when they kicked Frank the puppet out. Frank brought soul and laughter which is more that can be said about the new management that came in. The new management wouldn't even look employees in the eyes and treated long term employees like crap. All I gotta say is what comes around goes around. Adios 2843 Duluth!
