A seventh concert has been added to a series of “Live Music Matters” concerts honoring Eddie Owen that started Friday, June 22, at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth.
Seventy musicians will pay tribute to Owen’s 20-year legacy of promoting musicians in Atlanta and his recent opening of the “Eddie Owen Presents” music venue at RCT.
Shows had already been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 22; 5 and 9 p.m. Saturday, June 23; 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday, June 24; and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26. The seventh concert is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 29.
RCT doors open an hour prior to the concerts. Tickets cost $12 in advance/$15 at the door and can be purchased at www.eddieowenpresents.com.

Proceeds will benefit Owen’s 257-seat Duluth concert venue and music school. A live music advocate, Owen has been presenting singer-songwriters in concert at the Red Clay Theatre since December 2011. The Red Clay Theatre is located at 3116 Main St. in historic downtown Duluth. Downtown parking is plentiful with 750 spaces available. Beer, wine and soft drinks are sold before and during concerts.
Owen, the founder of “Eddie’s Attic” in Decatur who formerly served as the music club’s booking agent, has been credited with launching the careers of the Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins, John Mayer, Jennifer Nettles, the Zac Brown Band and others over the past two decades.
