Three Duluth Residents Win Top Spots in Toastmasters’ Club’s



Atlanta MasterCrafters Toastmaster’s Club
held its International Speech Contest on Thursday, January 17 at the Johns Creek Presbyterian Church.  Charles Goorsky owner of Charles Goorsky Services, in Duluth, Georgia was the winner of the International Speech Contest. Goorsky is a Network Engineer by profession and has been a Toastmaster for 4 years and
delivered an inspiring speech called “Unconventional Leaders”. 

Sage Wang placed second in the Speech
contest.  Ms. Wang serves as the Vice President of Membership for the Atlanta MasterCrafters club is the Director of Clinical Information Systems at UHS Pruitt Corporation in Norcross, Georgia.

The Table Topics contest, an impromptu speech competition, was won by John Karn a Senior Professional Liability Specialist at Sedgwick. He gave an amusing
speech on how his life is similar to a TV car commercial.  “Toastmasters’ leadership and competent communication paths are invaluable assets for me,” says Mr. Karn, who also teaches spiritual classes and hosts workshops in his spare time.  “Competing also keeps my communication skills sharp,” he says.  Both Goorsky and Karn will advance to the Area Level Toastmaster International Speech Contest to be held on Saturday, February 9th from 11am to 1pm at Assurant Specialty Property in Duluth, GA.
