Gwinnett Police Officer Brandon Morris will be instructing a free Teen P.R.I.D.E. class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Central Precinct, 3125 Satellite Blvd., in Duluth.
Teen P.R.I.D.E. (Parents Reducing Injuries and Driver Error) is a program of the Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute that helps parents and teens better understand the importance of responsible teen driving.
Taking the class has also resulted in parents receiving discounts in insurance costs for their teen drivers.
The class goes over the basics of obtaining a teen driver's permit and license and helps teens recognize common teen mistakes and errors in judgement. It also helps parents with the "coaching process" of teen driving.
