Jo An Chewning of the William Day Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), was recently named Outstanding Regent in DAR for Georgia.
The award is given to a DAR member who has served in the past as a regent (the highest officer of an individual chapter) and who continues to serve DAR and the community.
Betty Lynam, current William Day Chapter regent, presented her with an award.
