Daisy Troop 3031 Lunches at Duluth City Hall
Girl Scout Daisy Troop 3031 recently lunched at Duluth City Hall while learning about public and community service.
The scouts were given a tour of City Hall by Information Officer Crystal Huntzinger and were invited to lunch with Mayor Nancy Harris. Afterward, they donated books to the Duluth Cluster Schools Foundation.
Troop 3031 is a kindergarten Daisy troop. The troop is working on petals which represent parts of the Girl Scout Law.
The visit to City Hall was an opportunity to experience the concept of “Friendly and Helpful” by seeing the ways the city and its employees exemplify these traits.
After lunch, the scouts practiced the concept by carrying a donation of books to local Chocolate Perks Cafe, where they will be sold to raise money for the Duluth Cluster Schools Foundation.
