Atlanta Families Invited to Attend Christmas Carnival

Atlanta families are invited to join Lift Up Atlanta for a day of carnival-themed family fun at its Christmas Carnival Saturday, Dec. 22, where they have the opportunity to win two Southwest Airlines tickets to anywhere in the U.S. while raising money to benefit Lift Up Atlanta’s outreach to homeless women and children.

Attendees can bid in the silent auction, enjoy carnival food such as caramel apples and hot dogs, see live magic and watch a Christmas play. Raffle tickets for the Southwest Airlines giveaway can be purchased at www.liftupatlanta.orgor bought at the event for $5 each.

Lift Up Atlanta also invited 50 homeless mothers and children ages two to 17 to choose three donated Christmas presents at the event. All of the wrapped presents are donations from Atlantans.

“The Christmas Carnival is a wonderful way to get Atlanta families into the giving spirit of the Christmas season,” said Rosalind Garner, Lift Up Atlanta’s founder and carnival organizer.

The event will be at the Pinckneyville Community Center, 4650 Peachtree Industrial Blvd.  in Norcross, from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission is $6 per person and benefits Lift Up Atlanta’s outreach programs.
